Last updated: 6 May 2026 · Effective: from the date of your first use of Ayre Sleep

Ayre Sleep is built and operated by Anavesa ("we", "us", "our"). We try to collect as little as possible. This document describes what we do collect, why, who else sees it, and how to ask us to delete it.

1. Who we are

The Ayre Sleep app and the website at getayre.app are operated by Anavesa. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. What we collect

Ayre uses anonymous accounts — we never ask for your name, email, phone number, or social login. The data tied to your account is:

  • Anonymous user ID. A random UUID generated by Supabase the first time you open the app. We use it to associate your data on our backend. We don't know who you are.
  • Subscription state. Whether you have an active Ayre Premium subscription, the plan (monthly or annual), trial status, and renewal date. We receive this from RevenueCat after Apple or Google process your payment.
  • Sleep summaries. When you grant access, we read sleep data from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android), summarise it on-device, and store the summary on our servers tied to your anonymous user ID. See section 3 for exactly what.
  • App-state data. Streak counts, favourite sounds, in-progress meditation programs, and your in-app preferences (theme, default timer length, etc.) synced to our backend so they survive a reinstall.
  • Crash reports and basic device telemetry. Via Firebase Crashlytics, when the app crashes. See section 7.
  • Audio delivery logs. When the app streams a sound from our CDN, Cloudflare logs the request (IP address, user-agent, file requested) for delivery and security purposes. These logs are retained per Cloudflare's standard policy and are not joined to your user ID.

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs (no Mixpanel, Amplitude, Sentry, Segment, Firebase Analytics, Meta SDK, AppsFlyer, or similar). We do not sell, rent, or trade any data. We do not build cross-app advertising profiles.

3. Health data, specifically

If — and only if — you grant the permission, the app reads the following from Apple HealthKit (iOS) or Android Health Connect:

  • Sleep sessions (bedtime and wake time)
  • Sleep stages (deep, REM, light, awake durations)
  • Heart rate (read-only, used for context)
  • Respiratory rate (read-only, used for context)

From those raw values we compute a per-night summary: total sleep minutes, deep minutes, REM minutes, light minutes, awake minutes, bedtime, wake time, and a derived sleep score. That summary is uploaded to our Supabase database (table sleep_logs) and tied to your anonymous user ID. The underlying raw HealthKit / Health Connect samples themselves are not uploaded.

Your sleep summaries are never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with any third party other than the infrastructure providers listed in section 5. They are visible to no one but you.

You can revoke health access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, or Android Settings → Apps → Health Connect. Revoking will not delete summaries already stored — for that, see section 8.

4. How we use it

  • To run the app: play sounds, sync your library, render your morning recap, gate premium features.
  • To compute personal sleep insights for you, on your device and in your private account — never aggregated with other users' data in a way that identifies you.
  • To enforce subscription state (Apple, Google, or RevenueCat tells us if your subscription is active).
  • To diagnose crashes and improve stability.

We do not use your data for advertising, retargeting, or model training.

5. Third parties

The app and its backend rely on a small set of vetted infrastructure providers. Each sees only what is required for its function:

  • Supabase (database, anonymous authentication, storage). Hosts your anonymous user ID, subscription state mirror, sleep summaries, app-state data. supabase.com/privacy
  • RevenueCat (subscription orchestration). Receives the receipt from Apple or Google, tells us whether you are subscribed, and what to. Does not see your health data or app activity. revenuecat.com/privacy
  • Cloudflare (CDN for audio & artwork; the website you are reading this on). Standard request logs; no joins to your user ID. cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
  • Apple (App Store payments, HealthKit). Apple processes payments and owns the HealthKit permission model. We don't see your card or Apple ID. apple.com/legal/privacy
  • Google (Google Play payments, Health Connect, Firebase Crashlytics). Google processes payments and owns Health Connect. Firebase Crashlytics is used for crash diagnostics — see section 7. policies.google.com/privacy

6. Payments & subscriptions

Ayre Premium is sold as an in-app subscription. The actual payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your card details, bank account, or Apple ID / Google account email. We only see whether your subscription is active and what plan you are on, via RevenueCat.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel any time in your platform settings (App Store → Subscriptions, or Google Play → Subscriptions). See Terms of Service for the full subscription terms.

7. Crash reporting

We use Firebase Crashlytics to capture app crashes so we can fix them. When the app crashes, Crashlytics collects:

  • Device model, OS version, app version, locale
  • The stack trace at the time of the crash
  • An installation-scoped identifier (separate from your Supabase user ID)
  • Your IP address (truncated by Google after collection)

Crashlytics is disabled in debug builds. We do not log your sleep data, subscription state, or any app-level personal information into crash breadcrumbs.

8. Retention & deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account exists. Because accounts are anonymous, the simplest way to delete everything tied to your phone is to delete the app — though that on its own does not remove rows already on our backend.

To request full deletion of all data tied to your anonymous user ID (sleep summaries, streaks, favourites, preferences, the user record itself), email [email protected] from any address, with the anonymous user ID shown in Profile → Account → About in the app. We will action the deletion within 30 days and confirm by reply.

Crash reports stored in Firebase Crashlytics are retained per Google's standard Crashlytics retention (currently 90 days) and cannot be selectively deleted by user ID.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (GDPR, CCPA, UK GDPR, and other regional regimes), you have the right to:

  • Know what data we hold about you (request a copy)
  • Have it corrected if inaccurate
  • Have it deleted (see section 8)
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority

Email [email protected] to exercise any of these.

10. Children

Ayre is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app and you would like the data removed, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

Our infrastructure (Supabase, Cloudflare, Firebase, RevenueCat) is primarily based in the United States. By using the app, you understand your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where applicable, we rely on standard contractual clauses for cross-border transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.

13. Contact

Questions, requests, or complaints: [email protected].
